  4. Right now it feels like Bloganuary’s gonna be my biggest challenge: in ~25 years of blogging, I’ve only twice managed a “daily streak” longer than a month. But more-seriously: winter motivation, and staying-on-task.

    1. Did you think about drawing down your perfect life in the next 5 years on a piece of paper? On the other side you can set-up your goals, and a step by step schedule to achieve the necessary tasks. Good luck with your adventure!

  7. To start on the right track from the beginning of Bloganuary 2024, I confess one of my biggest challenges is to be consistent creating content. I do have a blog. Actually I have two. And I mismanage both.

And I do have at least one podcast. Last time I updated the most popular podcast I have was in May 2023. Thankfully the content there is sort of timeless. In Swedish. But why do I leave money on the table so often?

Another big challenge for me is to write in English. And speak for that matter. I do all my content in Swedish because my audience and ideal clients are Swedish. For now. And English with a touch of Swedish is quite charming, isn’t it?

Yes, I do know that writing this will make me break through some of my invisible obstacles. We’ll see if I show up for Day 2 of Bloganuary for a start.

  10. This is my first time attempting Bloganuary. I mostly write meta/books reviews, though I’m starting to write more personal posts. My prompt responses are going to be a little eclectic. https://catchingshadows672971735.wordpress.com/2024/01/01/bloganuary-what-are-your-biggest-challenges/

    1. Welcome then. This is my 3rd year with Bloganuary. It is something I look forward to each year. Gets the creative juices flowing and you actually get feedback from people. That was a game changer when I first started out.

  11. It’s time for Bloganuary again! Last January, I took part in this WordPress challenge, where I wrote a blog post every day that answered a prompt provided by WordPress. It’s a fun challenge, and all of you enjoyed last year’s posts, so let’s do it again! Today’s prompt is: “What are your biggest challenges.”

  31. Many days later, I’m piggy-backing on the majority of people with this one… Most of my biggest challenges are self imposed. That said, they are activated and enabled by a lot of externals, like group think leading to lack of ambition. Still, the very cool ability of humans to be able to reframe and reset can help anyone, even me, get back on the horse and chip away at the boulders in front of us (read: me). You do get to make this stuff up, so once you shake off the shoulds and supposed-tos, you (read: I) can make great strides. Challenges are not death sentences. They are just turbulence.

  32. I think the biggest challenge with travel blogging is discipline. It’s important to be consistent with writing, monetization strategies, and sharing your travel blog posts. Personally I always struggle with it and now I started a community of travel bloggers so we can connect with like-minded individuals, and empower each other with accountability.
